Both my chapters, San Clemente and Poinsettia in Oceanside,
border the sparkling Pacific and the abalone reflects the
water in these coastal settings. The ocean colors and heart
shaped flowers are reminiscent of my service in past years.

The Square symbolizes truth and morality. By
these virtues we are guided in all out transactions and
dealings with our fellowman. The golden hue of the Square
recognizes my 25 year membership of Golden Valley Chapter. The
walnut part of the square represents my woodworking hobby
The Open Book is a continuous reminder of the importance of
knowledge and understanding and my years of employment with
the University of California. Through knowledge we are able to
achieve a better understanding and tolerance of our
increasingly diverse communities The Wave
carries our fraternal love throughout the State and washes
away our prejudices allowing us to live our lives in
accordance with our Masonic and Eastern Star teachings
The Emerald in its crystal form reminds us of the work and
polish needed for us to realize our potential and to achieve
the standards by which we strive to live. The polished emerald
in its finished state is the birthstone of May and the Jewel
