The Heart Encompassing the Sun: The Heart represents the compassion we strive to exemplify thought our lives, for one anther and for our communities. When that which is i our heart guides our thoughts and actions, our acts are genuine. The sun is symbolic of a bright and prosperous future, a future in which we envision growth an prosperity. As in the story of Esther, the sun represents the light and joy extended t those she held dear to her heart. The Border of Purple denotes the bond of loyalty we share for our Sisters and Brothers, and for our Order. It represents a devotion to a worthwhile purpose.	Standing on the solid foundation of my Masonic background is Jacob's Ladder. It was the starting "rung" of my journey through the Masonic family and the beginning of my Love of the Order of the Eastern Star. The letters on the ladder stand for Temperance, Fortitude, Prudence and Justice. These wise tenets have guided Masons for centuries. So what better words to have as out Watchwords.
