Relay For Life The American Cancer Society is at work in communities all across the country providing programs aimed at reducing the risk of cancer, detecting cancer as early as possible, ensuring proper treatment. and empowering people facing cancer to cope and maintain the highest possible quality of life. The 2006-2007 Worthy Grand Matron has selected Relay for Life as California's "Special Project for 2007". Relay for life is a community gathering, where everyone can participate in the fight against cancer. By participating in the Relay for Life, members will do their part in raising funds for Cancer research and or supporting those who are participating by volunteering of the Relay In conjunction with active participation in Relay for Life events, state officers and others will have a special pin offered for sale to our members, family and friends. This pin will represent our commitment to the fight against cancer, with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society to further their efforts in finding a cure for this dreaded disease.
