Cal Star News Information

November 12, 2009

Dear California Eastern Star Members,

The Grand Line Officers at this present time want to inform our members that the Cal Star News will be on hiatus for an indefinite period of time.

The Cal Star News began as a project of the Grand Line Officers. It was intended to be an instrument of communication and information from the Grand Line Officers to the members of California. It has since evolved into a valuable source of news that includes articles and pictures submitted by many of our individual Chapters.

As you are aware our most recent Editors, Karen and John Fletcher, announced that they will no longer be serving as Editors of the Cal Star News.

The Grand Line Officers have discussed the various possibilities for the future of the Cal Star News. We have and are continuing to accept applications from those members who have shown an interest in the position of Editor and Circulation Editor.

This hiatus period will allow the Grand Line Officers to review the applications received and investigate all matters regarding subscriptions, future publication, printing and the financial status of our Cal Star News.

Your Grand Line Officers will continue to update you on our progress with the Cal Star News. Our sincere thanks is extended to all those who have worked on this project over the many years.

Fraternally,

Beverly Wade, WGM
Larry Coffin, WGP
Kim Hegg, AGM
Don Snyder, AGP
Linda Bernhard, G.Conductress
Sarahann Shapiro, A.G.C.
