About Kathleen Mason

Fundraising Director

Kathleen Mason

After many years as a library professional, I was lucky enough to be appointed to manage a United Way campaign at University of California, Riverside. During that first year I learned about the positive power and influence of fundraising – how the goodwill of so many donations, large and small can bring comfort and aid to many in need. That experience changed the direction of my professional life. After going back to school for a few years, I left the library profession to become a nonprofit manager. In this new career I have served many nonprofit organizations, raising money and volunteers for Girl Scouts, United Way, a human rights organization, a library foundation, a cancer survivors' organization, and a zoo.

Now, as your fundraising development manager, I am working to raise money for the present and future needs of Eastern Star Homes and the Order of Eastern Star in California charities. With your help and guidance, our collective efforts are going yield abundance that will serve the needs of your sisters and brothers and continue the Order's tradition of community service.

When I am not working with you, I enjoy living in Idyllwild, high in the San Jacinto Mountains near Hemet, with my husband David. I have two grown daughters, Nicole and Wendy, a son-in-law Casey, and the cutest, smartest grandson named Jack David.
