About Elena Bor
Wellness Coordinator
Elena has been employed at The Senior Living Community for five years. She was promoted to the position of nursing supervisor three years ago, along with our other LVN.
Elena and Debi are responsible for the oversight of resident services and clinical management, for education and training related to clinical practice, and for keeping current with changes in assisted living community regulations and trends.
Elena brings with her many years of nursing experience. She attended school in Romania, and has her bachelor’s degree in science and chemistry. Elena worked as a volunteer with her church, visiting homebound elderly, and it was then that she discovered that she had a heart for seniors and their needs.
Elena came to the United States in 1989 and continued to fulfill her dream of working with the elderly. She attended nursing school at Rio Honda College in Whittier, California. Elena earned her RCFE administrator’s license, and opened her own 6-bed RCFE.
Elena has a variety of experience working in the medical field, including the emergency room, physician’s offices, and acute care hospitals.
Elena’s passion is being able to meet the needs of seniors; listening to their concerns, providing a supportive environment where they feel safe and secure.
Elena believes that nursing is “Not just a job. It means to have a heart for it, to be able to listen and meet the patient’s needs. When they are happy I am too. To know I was able to make someone happy is very rewarding to me.”
